RECRUTEMENT SUR UN POSTE CNAP – PHYSICIEN-NE SNO ISDeform

L’Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers (OSU) OPGC souhaite recruter un physicien-ne dans le cadre du Service National d’Observation (SNO) ISDeform (Imagerie Satellitaire pour comprendre la Déformation de la Terre). Ce service, en lien avec le pôle de données Form@ter au niveau national et avec l’infractructure de recherche EPOS au niveau Européen, a été créé en 2021 afin de fournir des observations pérennes de la déformation de la surface terrestre, en priorité sur le territoire national, mais aussi sur des sites reconnus comme stratégiques car à risque volcanique, sismique ou gravitaire. Ce service travaille donc en lien avec le Service National des Observations en Volcanologie. Il remplace et élargit l'activité d'observation systématique par interférométrie radar, OI² (Observatoire InSAR de l’océan Indien, OI²) qui était basé à l'Observatoire de Physique du Globe de Clermont et reconnue par l'INSU depuis 2003.

Le/La physicien-ne aura à sa charge d’assurer la coordination d’une ou plusieurs actions du SNO transverses à plusieurs OSUs. Ces actions transverses concernent (a) la diffusion des données et produits, (b) le développement et la maintenance de codes de traitement et d’analyse, (c) l’exploitation des chaînes de traitement et des services sur des infrastructures de calcul, (d) la validation des produits et les actions de valorisation (communication, formation de coopération avec les partenaires -SNOs, pôles de données, IRD). Il-elle devra assurer le développement et le suivi de projets structurants à l’échelle nationale, européenne et internationale et devra veiller au développement de liens forts avec les autres SNOs, et avec les établissements partenaires du SNO (CNES, IRD, IGN, BRGM). A moyen terme, il-elle devra être le point de contact français de groupements scientifiques internationaux (WInSAR, COMET, CEOS) pour le Centre d’Expertise Scientifique de ForM@ter et pour des programmes de coopération internationaux.

Le/La physicien-ne mènera des recherches concernant l'analyse de la déformation de surface en domaine volcanique, volcano-tectonique ou gravitaire. Il/Elle pourra aussi développer des recherches concernant le traitement de la donnée InSAR. Les activités d'enseignement se feraient au sein de l'École de l'OPGC de l'Université Clermont Auvergne.

The Observatoire des Sciences de l'Univers (OSU) OPGC wishes to recruit a physicist in the framework of the National Observation Service (SNO) ISDeform (Satellite Imaging to Understand Earth Deformation). This service, linked to the Form@ter data center at the national level and to the EPOS research infractructure at the European level, was created in 2021 in order to provide permanent observations of the deformation of the Earth's surface, in priority on the national territory, but also on sites recognized as strategic because of volcanic, seismic or gravitational hazards. This service replaces and expands the activity of systematic observation by radar interferometry, OI² (Observatoire InSAR de l'Océan Indien, OI²) which was based at the Observatoire de Physique du Globe de Clermont and recognized by the INSU since 2003.

The physicist will be in charge of the coordination of one or several actions of the SNO that are transversal to several OSUs. These transversal actions concern (a) the dissemination of data and products, (b) the development and maintenance of processing and analysis codes, (c) the exploitation of processing chains and services on computing infrastructures, (d) the validation of products and valorization actions (communication, training, cooperation with partners -SNOs, data poles, IRD) He/she will have to ensure the development and follow-up of structuring projects on a national, European and international level and will have to ensure the development of strong links with the other SNOs, and with the partners of the SNO (CNES, IRD, IGN, BRGM). In the medium term, he/she will be the French contact for international scientific groups (WInSAR, COMET, CEOS) for the ForM@ter Scientific Expertise Center and for international cooperation programs.

This physicist will carry out research concerning surface deformation in volcanic, volcano-tectonic or gravitational domains. He/she could also develop research concerning the processing of InSAR data. The teaching activities will be done within the OPGC School of the University Clermont Auvergne.
